Youth Bake & Movie Event - 8 - 15yo

  • 90 St John Street Launceston TAS 7250 Australia (map)

Come join our Youth Biscuit Baking and Movie Chill out event. Get your inner baker ready to make your own batch of delicious Kiss Bisuits to go home (if they make it) and chill out to watch a great movie in between the baking and the icing.

Starts at 1.00pm - 4.00pm Tuesday 30th January, in "The Upper Room" above Hope Costumes & Thrift Store and Hope Cafe.

Parents and/or Support Staff are welcome to stay and watch. Options are available for most dietary requirements, we’ll make arrangements prior to the event with you.

Bring with you a rolling pin and a container to take your biscuits home, we'd suggest a larger flat one as the icing may not have set on the biscuits in time for you to stack them.

Parents/Guardians are welcome to chill out themselves in the Hope Cafe downstairs with a good coffee and something good to eat from the menu, why not explore the store as well for some retail therapy too. Or just come pick them up later at 4pm.

This building was built by the Gas Company and Cooking Demonstrations were regularly held here including Home Ec classes for schools. Teen Challenge Tasmania have lovingly restored this space and is paying homage to its history and budding chefs by holding this event. Learn more about how Teen Challenge help youth in Launceston too.

Tickets are $10 ea and the spaces are limited, so get in quick. Tickets via Eventbrite Link Here or button below

Teen Challenge Tasmania works with youth on a day to day basis within many programs. We believe for youth to build resilience within the world they need to be connected, encouraged and motivated.

Our youth events are designed to help spark creativity and connection within young people and to date we have held quite a few Youth events all on different themes and genre's.
