Welcome to the latest Social Enterprise for Teen Challenge Tasmania, our new Hope Cafe Tasmania. This is far more than a Cafe, don’t get us wrong it’s pretty special but it’s the heart and purpose behind it that really makes the difference.

Teen Challenge Tasmania works with youth on a day to day basis within many programs. We believe for youth to build resilience within the world they need to be connected, encouraged and motivated.

Soon to open, Hope Cafe is to be a training ground for local youth to gain real life experience and provide pathways to employment within Hospitality. Some of the team you meet within the Cafe are young people taking a big step in this area, so feel free to encourage them when you’re in the store.

Not to mention this place is super cool, from the funky Eagle Bezzera Espresso Machine as you enter the front doors, using delicious Australian grown, NQ Gold 100% Arabica Coffee filling your senses. Grab your favourite brew and did we mention that our Hot Chocolate is made with 70% Couverture Belgium Chocolate.

The Decor is fun, fresh and comfortable, our seating area picks up the fun vibe of our Hope Costumes & Thrift Store and be prepared to struggle to choose what seats you want to sit on (PS one of them has a connection to the King Of England personally - ask us about it).

It’s a great space to catch up with friends or just relax in the CBD with some scrumptious Sweet and Savoury options from local Valley Bakehouse and Homemade Sandwiches. Take time to try out the Italian Soda’s, Deco Fizz (French Soda’s), Good Old-Fashioned Spiders and MIlkshakes with over 30 flavours to choose from all with a Cherry on top!

Van Diemens Land Icecream is the foundation for our delicious Sundaes from combinations we have created for you to choosing your own “My Way” Sundae, yep with Whipped Cream and that Cherry on top too.

Head on in to enjoy the Cafe, food and beverages knowing that you are supporting and encouraging young people that are trying to step up and make a difference in their lives through this opportunity. Plus don’t forget the Hope Costumes & Thrift Store is within the same building so explore and support youth in that area too.

We’re at 90 St John Street, Launceston, beside Koorong and over the road from Burger Junkie.
