Hope for Tasmanians.

Teen Challenge Tasmania Inc was founded in 2014 and will include a  residential facility, Home of Hope for Women and Children located in Tasmania in the near future. Until that time Teen Challenge Tasmania Inc will serve men, women and children in Tasmania through facilitation with existing Teen Challenge rehab centres in Australia.

We are particularly passionate about early intervention and demand reduction and provide #NotEvenOnce® programs for students, parents, teachers, workplaces and communities and Connections Mentoring for School Students. We truly believe that individuals that are clearly informed as to the real life altering consequences of entering into substance use and understanding that drug use is often a mask to underlying problems will be able to make more educated choices for their future.

Residential Programs.

The Teen Challenge residential rehabilitation programs continue to be the largest and most effective substance abuse recovery and prevention programs of its kind in the world. Teen Challenge have a documented success rate of 86%* for those who complete the program and Globally there are more than 1200 programs in 109 countries.

57 years of experience.

Teen Challenge is a Christian based organisation which started caring for troubled youth in New York City in 1958, by Rev David Wilkerson, as depicted in the book & movie “The Cross and the Switchblade”.

Teen Challenge began in Australia in 1971 and has facilities in every state. To date it has helped literally thousands transform their lives from addiction and restored families right across Australia.

It is the mission of Teen Challenge centres to provide youth, adults and children an effective and comprehensive faith-based solution to drug and alcohol addiction as well as other life-controlling problems.

Teen Challenge is committed to enabling and equipping those we serve to find freedom from addictive behaviour, to become socially and emotionally healthy, physically well and spiritually alive. Teen Challenge reaches out to people from all backgrounds and walks of life.

Reaching those in need.

According to the United Nations, more than 270 million people worldwide struggle with drug abuse and is growing at a rapid rate. Drug users are getting younger and their use is becoming more frequent. Alcohol and drug addictions are plaguing our nations, our cities and invading our homes. We are committed to doing everything we can to reach people with life controlling problems.
